How do I get a Bikeability scheme number?

To get a Bikeability scheme number, you will need to register your training scheme. This involves providing us with information about the training you deliver and how your scheme is managed. See the scheme registration page for more details on how to register.

What is the process for registration?

The first stage of the registration process is to collate the required information about your scheme, as set out in the relevant registration checklist. There are checklists for each of the three general types of training scheme – local authority, school sports partnership and independent providers. Once you have collated the information, you need to submit this to Bikeability by email or post, contact details are contained within the checklists. The next step is for the Bikeability team to review the information you have submitted and provide feedback to you. When the requirements for Bikeability registration have been met, a Bikeability scheme number will be issued to you by the Bikeability team, the final stage in the registration process.

I'm a National Standard instructor, why am I not listed on the Bikeability website?

Bikeability registration is a quality control process to ensure standards and consistency among National Standards training schemes. The Bikeability website shows only those training schemes that have registered with Bikeability. As a National Standard instructor, you are able to access the instructor forum on the Bikeability website, with or without being part of a registered scheme.

I have completed my instructor training course, how can I obtain the Bikeability award materials?

To purchase the Bikeability award materials, you need to register your training scheme with Bikeability. Details on how to do so can be found on the scheme registration page.
