It’s Saturday and Joe wants to try out possible routes in his area with his friends Ben and Millie. Choose who you think has the best route!
In this online game, pupils get to choose the best route to take for different journeys on a bike.
They are given a map of an area which comprises different types of road: highways, quiet roads and cycle paths and include traffic lights, roundabouts, pelican crossings, footbridge etc.
There are also landmarks such as the school, the post office,
shops, the park, home, gran’s house and Joe’s house.
Pupils are given three possible route choices for each journey (each choice is highlighted on the map).
Once pupils have chosen their preferred route, they can explore their journey.
On their journey, they are asked questions and given information related to road awareness. They earn points for each good answer given. At the end of the game, they get feedback on the route chosen.
