benefits of cycling: top trumps

Game description

Choose who has what it takes to win in this take on the traditional card game - who is the fittest, healthiest, greenest?

The game consists of 12 cards in total, divided equally into two packs.

Each card depicts a character and a list of numerical statistics, and the game is played by comparing the numbers on the cards.

The aim of the game is to earn all the cards by choosing the strongest feature of your character to beat the computer opponent’s card.

This will enable pupils to compare the differences when someone cycles regularly or doesn’t, while highlighting the benefits of cycling: better health and mood, more energy and independence and the benefits to the environment.

Between card choices, pupils will be given true/false statements which they answer and will then receive feedback. These questions vary in difficulty level to cater for age and ability differences.
