Your donations will help us build a future where cycling is the norm for short journeys and everyone has the confidence to ride.
Our mission
The Bikeability Trust aims to activate a nation of cyclists by ensuring everyone has the confidence to enjoy the life skill, independence and fun of cycling. Giving everyone the competence and confidence to cycle is our core mission, making cycling the norm for short journeys.
Our mission goes beyond delivering exceptional training. Our work is focused on promoting safer roads, inclusive cycling and advocate for making cycling accessible to all on a national level. Your support will help to make this all possible.

Every donation, whether one-off or regular, helps us build a stronger future for cycling.
Why your support is so vital
Government funding helps deliver our training, but it doesn’t cover everything that keeps Bikeability moving forward. Your donation will support the essential running costs that keep our work, impactful, inclusive, and sustainable.
Whether it’s research and campaigning to support safer roads or working with the government to prioritise the importance of cycling as a public health initiative, we need your support to deliver our mission.
Join us in helping to activate a nation of cyclists.

Your donation will go towards our essential running costs and funding projects like our Safety for All report in collaboration with Living Streets to make walking and cycling more accessible. These are the essential resources that allow us to continue the impactful work we do outside of delivering high quality training. This includes new programmes, supporting inclusive training initiatives and maintaining operations that keep our work running smoothly.
Essential running costs are the unrestricted funds that support the Trust’s ability to continue delivering on our mission and to keep operations running smoothly. These costs can include funding for projects such as our work with the government to include cycling in the curriculum and projects around inclusivity with cycle training. They ensure we can plan ahead, deliver effectively, and continue to improve the quality of our programmes.
Yes, we are funded by Active Travel England, and this supports our delivery of core cycle training. However, your donations allow us to expand the work that we do beyond the government funding. Your donation will be used towards innovation, research and programmes that will increase inclusivity and quality in cycling.
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows registered charities to claim back tax from HMRC on donations made by UK taxpayers. When you give a declaration, we are able to claim 25% of your donation at no extra cost to you. For example, for every £1 you donate, Gift Aid adds an extra 25p making your donation £1.25 at no extra cost to you.
You can add Gift Aid by ticking the Gift Aid box when you make your donation on this form. Please ensure that you are a UK taxpayer and the donation is made by you and not on behalf of anyone or a company.
