Based in the West Midlands, Kevin has dedicated over five decades to cycling – from his first club rides with Stourbridge CC at 14, to coaching, racing, and devoting 13 years delivering Bikeability training in Dudley.
His love of cycling continued with long-distance touring events with his wife, with even family holidays taking on a touring twist! In latter years, Kevin returned to the road racing league to support and bring on younger club members, but equally regularly winning in his age group.
Alongside his personal passion for cycling, Kevin has displayed enthusiasm and unending patience when teaching Bikeability. He gives it his all, ensuring bikes are fit for purpose and regularly going above and beyond repairing those falling short, often at personal cost. His patience, creativity and belief that every child can succeed have made him a true hero in the saddle.

Kevin was nominated in our Instructor of the Year category, going on to win the 2025 People’s Champion Award following a social media public vote.
